With its terrific location, just off the I-10, La Quinta Inn & Suites Houston – Normandy is the ideal spot for the traveler looking for convenient and comfortable chain hotel style accommodation. The rooms are very smart, with a bold use of color to brighten them up. Each features large flat screen TV, fast Wi-Fi, telephone, microwave, minibar, coffee maker, alarm clock, hairdryer and clothes iron. A sun bed by lovely little outdoor pool is the perfect spot to soak up some rays. Fitness aficionados will appreciate the compact exercise room that allows them to keep up with their workout schedule, and motorists the ample free parking. An extended breakfast consisting of both continental and cooked options is available. For the other meals, guests will find many restaurants in the area. China Star Buffet and Grill comes highly recommended. Downtown Houston is approximately 11 miles drive to the west.

It was very rare to find a bad word written about the hotel's staff. Guests felt that they had a good attitude and carried out their duties not only in a professional manner, but also in a spirit of genuine care and concern.
This La Quinta offers an extended breakfast that offers a whole host of hot food options in addition to the continental style basics. Guests seemed to have approved of this, and in general felt that the breakfast offered a great spread.
It was clear from the reviews that those with pets in tow really enjoyed their stay. Like most La Quinta properties, this one has exceptionally pet-friendly policies. It seems that guests were happy to be treated just like any other guest, even though they were traveling with their beloved pet.
While there weren't a great many guests complaining of maintenance issues, there were more than just one or two. While the issues were typically fairly minor, guests tended to feel that if they were minor they could easily have been attended to. That they clearly hadn't been gave them the impression that management were not paying attention to the details.
Guests didn't exactly explain what not was about the location that made them feel uneasy, but several did say that it was a bit seedy. They were happy that a security guard was posted outside at night.
While not mentioned often, it was reported that the view from the rear facing rooms is over what is essentially a junk yard. If in one of these rooms it might be necessary to keep the curtains closed.
