Situated just a short distance from the I-45, La Quinta Inn & Suites Houston Hobby Airport offers terrific leisure amenities and comfortable business oriented accommodation. The rooms have a bright and cheerful feel to them. Each features large flat screen TV, Wi-Fi, work desk, telephone, microwave, minibar, coffee maker, hairdryer and clothes iron. A convenient shuttle to/from Hobby Airport is available 24 hours a day, but there is plenty of free parking for those arriving by car. Business people will appreciate the fully-equipped business center, while all can relax beside the outdoor pool or enjoy the on-site spa. Breakfast is served every morning and consists of continental style foods and a range of hot item. There are a host of chain restaurants just down the road, including a Denny’s and Waffle House. The William P Hobby Airport is just down the road, while downtown Houston is approximately 11 miles to the north.

All of the hotel's rooms have both microwave ovens and small fridges. A few guests mentioned that they found these very convenient, since it let them keep their drinks cold or heat up a quick snack or small meal when they didn't feel like going out to dinner.
Whatever small problems guests may have had with the hotel, it does not seem like the hotel's staff was one of them. Again and again guests mentioned that the staff were exceptionally friendly, and offered them a warm welcome after what, for many, had been a long and tiring journey.
A large number of guests were using the hotel for an airport layover while traveling through Hobby Airport. Considering the hotel's proximity to the airport, and the fact that it had a 24 hour shuttle, guests found it very convenient. A couple also mentioned that it offered good value “park and fly” deals.
This was perhaps the most common complaint. While there are plenty of restaurants within short driving distance, guests mentioned that there were none at all in what they considered reasonable walking distance.
Several guests were unimpressed to be faced with plastic plates and cutlery at breakfast time. They felt it cheapened the atmosphere, and expected better from the hotel.
While most did seem happy enough with the Wi-Fi system, there were certainly more than just one or two guests who found it unreliable and frustrating.
