The airport's only five minutes away and there's a free shuttle service. Also, there's a car rental office very nearby- in the next block in fact-and fast food restaurants abound in the area. Kmart is across the street. The airport and the I-40 are very easily accessed and although the hotel is on the main road, there is virtually no traffic noise. The area feels very safe as well.
There's a touch of animal magic too! The hotel is pet friendly and catered for very well. There's no charge for pets. Rooms are fine with welcome additions such as fridge and microwave.
You are greeted with a friendly smile. Everywhere is kept very clean and breakfast deserves a mention. Maybe there could be a bit more choice but what's on offer is good, appetizing - and free!
It's not the cheapest hotel around but everything is dated and in poor condition. The overall reaction is one of disappointment. This is highlighted by a pretty mundane breakfast offering.
Bathrooms in particular aren't cleaned properly; just a lick and an unfulfilled promise of better things to come tomorrow. Tomorrow never comes though! There are hairs all over the place from departed guests; a real give away to iffy cleaning procedures. You'll blow hot and cold with the unreliable air conditioning.
Given the attitude of the police officer who called to investigate a number of car break-ins, the parking lot here is very popular, on a regular basis, with the criminal element. So it should be, there's no security fencing and not a security camera in sight.
