Avid shoppers couldn't stop talking about how great it was to be just steps from the Chesterfield Towne Center Mall. It was said to be a fairly big, and have all the shops that guests could possibly need or want, and more. Also, there were said to be decent dining options within a short driving distance.
Though the hotel is close to both a highway and major shopping mall, guests were surprised to report that they actually found their room to be a haven of peace and quiet.
While some guests were happy with the cleanliness of their rooms, many were not. Guests said that housekeeping would clean their room one day, but not on some other day, with no rhyme or reason involved. They put it down to poor supervision and quality control.
An extraordinary number of guests mentioned that they were bothered by the smell of tobacco smoke in the hallways and even in their rooms. Considering many had booked at this hotel due to its completely non-smoking policy, they were very unhappy. They seemed to get the impression that staff were lax in applying the rules, so the hotel may as well not be termed a non-smoking hotel.
While the breakfast did also receive some compliments, a number of guests felt it tasted “artificial”. By this they seemed to mean that it was likely not fully prepared on-site, but made from packaged foods that had already been substantially processed.
