Situated among the dramatic peaks of the Rockies, La Quinta Inn & Suites Silverthorne – Summit offers spectacular views and comfortable accommodation with great leisure amenities. The rooms are well-equipped and feature flat screen TV’s, Wi-fi, microwave, minibar, coffee maker, hairdryer and alarm clock. The hotel has great leisure facilities, including an indoor pool and hot tub, as well as equipped fitness center. There is plenty of free parking on-site. A basic continental breakfast, consisting of cereals, muffins, pastries, bagels, fresh fruit, beverages and La Quita’s famous waffles is served daily. There are many great dining options nearby, including The Bakers’ Brewery, where guests will find traditional American fare and craft brews. Some of the best ski slopes in North America are within short driving distance of the hotel. Keystone is closest, just 8.5 miles from the hotel, but skiers and boarders should definitely also head to Vail, just 30 miles further along I-70.

Guests clearly loved the hotel's location. For most, it seemed the reason for booking there in the first place. Though not actually right by any ski slopes, both skiers and boarders liked that there were a number of excellent resorts within very short driving distance.
Unusually for hotel reviews, almost all people commenting on bed comfort found them to be exceptionally comfortable. Simply due to variations in tastes one usually has much more mixed reviews.
Since Wi-Fi is a service that is typically taken for granted, there weren't many guests singing its praises, but there certainly were some. They felt that the connection was reliable and that the speeds reached were more than sufficient for their purposes.
The hotel is a 100% non-smoking property, and yet guests mention having to walk up and down halls where other guests are clearly smoking in their rooms - both tobacco and marijuana. They felt that if policies were not going to be enforced it was a question of false advertising. Asthmatics should take note.
While reviews of the food itself were very mixed, a number if guests felt the whole atmosphere in the breakfast room was a bit chaotic. It may be as a result of ongoing renovations, but whatever the reason, guests felt that breakfast was definitely not served in a smooth and organized fashion.
It seems, as of April 2016, that the hotel is undergoing a full renovation. Guests mentioned that it is very much needed, and that the hotel will likely look amazing once completed, but in the meantime it was causing some issues. One was of course the noise from construction, but other guests mention facilities being out of commission and favorite areas being out of bounds.
