positive:
Full of character and steeped in history.

Negative Reviews
negative:
Tiring climb up the stairs.
There is no lift within the Castle which meant that guests whose rooms were on the upper levels had to climb several flights of stairs every day. Although the reception staff offer to help guests with their luggage it would be advisable that those who have mobility issues request rooms on the ground floor.
negative:
Problems with Wi-Fi.
Some guests complained about the slow Wi-Fi connection and those whose rooms were located on the top floor of the hotel found it extremely difficult to connect to the internet from their devices.
negative:
Lack of choice on the menus.
The restaurant only offers set menus and some guests who wanted lighter meals objected to only being offered the fine dining option. Guests also criticised the lack of choice for children and vegetarians.
