Situated in the heart of the Silicon Forest, and just 20 minutes from downtown Portland, Hotel Larkspur Landing Hillsboro offers all-suite self catering accommodation and some decent leisure amenities. The suites are spacious and well-appointed, and feature flat screen TV’s, air conditioning, fully equipped kitchenettes and many more practical amenities. Those keeping up with their workout program while on the road will be happy to find a fully equipped fitness center on site, while those who would rather take it easy have a whirlpool spa in which to soak their stress away. All will appreciate the freshly baked cookies available in the lobby. A simple continental breakfast is served daily. As for the other two meals, reception staff will be happy to offer great local dining recommendations. Larkspur Landings Hillsboro is in the heart of the “Silicon Forest”, and in fact Intel has a major facility right across the road.

The hotel has freshly baked cookies, which guests found delicious, available every afternoon. Also, free tea, coffee and hot chocolate is available near reception around the clock. Though small, these gestures clearly went a long way with the guests.
Pretty much every guest who brought up the question of value for money believed that had received excellent value. They seemed to feel that the hotel provided decent, but not luxurious, accommodation at especially good room rates.
While guests often mentioned how friendly the staff were, what most seemed to impress them was that they would go to great lengths to accommodate those with unusual, but reasonable, requests.
While guests did seem to like the location, mainly because it was near where they needed to be for business, a few said that there really were no decent restaurants at all within walking distance. Since the hotel only has breakfast available, that typically meant a trip by car for both the other two meals.
It was hard to find a kind word written about the breakfast. Guests were nearly unanimous in saying that it was simply too lacking in variety to generate any enthusiasm.
Aside from the food itself, guests found the breakfast room to be far too small for the number of guests hosted by the hotel. Even when the hotel wasn’t full, the space was said to be uncomfortably crowded.
