Guests loved Le Port Royal's Old Québec location, finding it to be perfect for exploring the UNESCO-listed history of the city by foot. Those who stayed also said the hotel was convenient to the cruise port, there were plenty of options for good restaurants nearby and the Québec Citadelle and city walls are also close by.
You will find the custom room decor to be a fantastic mix of classic and modern design, while the suites have plenty of space and are said to be rather comfortable. In addition, the kitchens were found to be attractive and very useful for those wanting to prepare a bite to eat, instead of dining out.
Those who stayed said that the hotel's staff proved to be friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating in all of their dealings, while those who did not decide to head out into the nightlife of Québec City said there was a nice bar downstairs where you can indulge in a drink or two — and taking the drinks back to the room is also no problem.
Only a few minor grievances were aired by those who stayed at Le Port Royal: the fact that the rooms proved to be a little too dark for the tastes of some, and there was occasionally noise possible from the bar or the streets outside. However, these were not considered to be serious issues by the few guests who experienced them.
