Licuala Lodge

The 4-star Licuala Lodge is an award winning Queenslander pole home, set in World Heritage rainforest just one and a half kms from Mission Beach. Guest accommodation, which is separate from the main house, is fully en-suite. There is a great swimming pool with a waterfall feature - it has just got to be the best in the area. Feel free to wander around our magnificent tropical gardens, and marvel at the vast array of exotic plants, fruits and native trees. There is a large guest lounge complete with TV, book swap library, games (Trivial Pursuit, chess, backgammon, etc.). The lounge also has cooking facilities and two barbecues can be found outside the lounge. Several resident cassowaries visit the lodge each day, so if you have not seen this magnificent and endangered bird in the wild this is your big chance. The lodge serves the yummiest breakfast on offer in all Queensland. A hot and cold breakfast awaits you. The bread, muffins and cakes are all home-made, as are the jams, marmalades and peanut butter. And when time allows, butter is also home made. Laundry facilities are here, iron and ironing board. Wireless internet is available throughout the property.
