This motel is conveniently located near Highway 401 and 15, with easy access to both roadways. Guests say it's a pretty short drive to downtown Kingston and most major local attractions, including Fort Henry. Though situated outside the city centre, most of the town is easy accessible by car. Guests also appreciated that the motel is convenient to several restaurants, a convenience store, and a gas station.
Most of the rooms have been recently renovated, and are clean, spacious and well-appointed. The beds are also said to be comfortable. Guests appreciated that the rooms were well-equipped with many modern necessities, including a refrigerator, microwave, and even a Keurig coffee maker, as well as a new flat screen TV.
Make sure to check out the hotel garden's seating area - it's a great spot for a morning coffee or an afternoon lunch. If you have the time, guests recommend taking advantage of the BBQ grills.
Guests repeatedly complained about the poor door locks in the rooms. There are no deadbolts; there is only a security chain. Because of the simple system, guests did not feel that their rooms were very secure.
Some of the rooms are prone to traffic noise from the nearby highway. If you're a light sleeper, it's recommended that you bring along some earplugs as a precaution. In addition, the A/C is said to be a bit annoying because it's not only noisy, but also constantly cycles on and off.
Though most of the rooms have been updated, some are still in need of renovations. Make sure to ask for a new room.
