Mafolie boasts a fantastic location in Charlotte Amalie, not only for its spectacular views but also for its proximity to all the highlights of the city. You’re only a mile from the major shopping area, which also boasts duty-free stores. Guests also said the hotel is convenient to the airport, only 10-15 minutes by car.
Don’t miss out on breakfast. Guests said the selection exceeded their expectations and the made-to-order omelet station was an absolute delight. Make sure to try out lunch or dinner as well – the restaurant serves excellent seafood dishes, and the pool bar is a pleasant spot to enjoy a drink.
There are no elevators at this hotel, and guests complained that there are plenty of steep stairs. If you have limited mobility, you may want to call ahead and see which rooms are best suited for you.
Guests recommend having a car or being ok with booking taxis. Mafolie is located quite far uphill and it can be challenging to get to the downtown, or explore the local area on foot.
If you’re a sensitive sleeper, keep in mind that rooms above the restaurant can be a bit noisy.
