The Hotel Hotel Manoir Victoria is an upscale hotel in the heart of Old Québec built in 1830 and now offering modern comfort and amenities.
Guest rooms are decorated in a contemporary style and feature a safe, HDTV, telephone, mini-bar, coffee machine and iPod/iPhone dock. Free Wi-Fi is also provided in each room. Additionally, suites have a separate lounge area with a sofa bed and an ambiance fireplace.
Wellness facilities at the Hotel Manoir Victoria include an indoor swimming pool, the gym, sauna and the Spa du Manoir. Other facilities include the internet lounge and a number of flexible meeting rooms with a capacity of up to two hundred.
Guests are served breakfast at La Table du Manoir and lunch and dinner at the bistro-style Chez Boulay.
Governors Garden, the Museum of Civilisation and the Morrin Centre are a few of the many points of interest in and around Old Québec.
Many people who visit Québec cite this old part of the city as their favourite for the architecture, dining, sightseeing and antique shopping. You can do and see all of these things just a short walk or drive from the hotel.
positive:
Convenient parking provisions
There is plenty of space for vehicle parking at the hotel's covered lot which is convenient as there are not many other options in the area.
positive:
Québec's best dining on site
Chez Boulay - Bistro Boréal happens to be a top restaurant popular with locals and visitors of Québec alike and lucky for you, it's attached to the hotel so you don't even need to step outside to go and enjoy it.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Pay extra for parking and breakfast
There is basement parking available as well as a valet service, however this attracts an extra fee payable per day. The hotel also charges extra for breakfast at the La Table du Manoir restaurant. Although it is really good quality and a wide selection, it can get pricey so perhaps the bakery across the street or any of the nearby cafés might suit some people better.
negative:
Lots of stairs
The entrance features about twenty stairs from street level into the lobby and there are a few more stairs inside, including in a few rooms leading into the ensuite bathroom, for example. There is however an elevator from the parking area. Although there are porters to help with bags at the door, this may get complicated for anyone with limited mobility.
negative:
A little street noise
Being centrally located in an area with lots of restaurants and tourist sites, those in rooms on lower floor facing the busy street (St. Jean) may experience some noise at night. Perhaps a higher room or one facing away from the street.
