Set in its own extensive gardens at the foot of Mount Tsampika, Hotel Marianna Palace offers a peaceful atmosphere and resort lie amenities to those looking for a quieter holiday. The rooms are modern and newly renovated, and feature private balconies, sleek en-suite bathrooms with hairdryer, air conditioning, minbars, flat screen TV’s, in-rooms safes and telephones. Reception is on hand and can assist with local information. The outdoor attractions include massive pool, playground and tennis court, while indoors there is a gym and games room. The main buffet restaurant offers Greek and international cuisine, while the pool bar is a more casual environment and serves light meals and drinks. The lobby bar steps it up a notch and offers drinks in a more sophisticated setting. Kolymbia Beach is about 700 yards away, while amateur archaeologists will find Rhodes Town and its sites 16 miles to the north.

While there were one or two dissenting voices, the overwhelming majority found the food to be of an excellent quality, and containing more than enough dishes that they never became bored with it over the course of their holiday.
Guests really seemed to like the views from the property. There were views towards the Aegean, but also towards the mountain, which provided an interesting contrast.
While the hotel is a short walk from the beach, it seems most guests wouldn't have had it any other way. For them, this resulted in a much quieter property. They enjoyed the serenity, but felt they could still walk down to the beach any time they wished.
Though not mentioned often, it was pointed out that the town of Kolymbia is not known for its nightlife. For this, guests would have to travel to other towns on the island some distance away.
Guests were certainly not happy with the hotel policy of charging for Wi-Fi access. They felt that connectivity was such a basic fact of life nowadays that it should have been included in the room-rate.
Like perhaps most resort properties, guests report that Marianna Palace has not planned for enough sun loungers. They mention the frustration of turning up by the pool with towel, suntan lotion and the latest frivolous summer blockbuster, only to find all the sun loungers occupied.
