The Masseria dei Monaci resort (located in the ancient Monks Farm, dating from the fifth century and of a great historic and cultural importance) is the perfect location to experience the holiday of nature and the simple things in an uncontaminated area, immersed in a charming rural picture, where the scents of the countryside and sea mingle in a heady mix. A building model typically Mediterranean, plant in horse stirrup, a courtyard garden, two large parking areas, a large well-kept park and 14 rooms. It's the perfect starting point for nature excursions to discover the Salento's treasures, a few steps from the famous Lake of Bauxite, and 2 km from the center of Otranto, the “Porta D'Oriente”. Just a few kilometers to the natural park of Alimini Lakes, located 5km north of Otranto. Here the beach is at times completely free at times fully equipped in correspondence of the different beaches. The sea, always limpid and clean, dominated by sand dunes and a wild untouched nature, makes the bay of Alimini one of the most evocative of the Salento.
