Maui Eldorado Kaanapali by Outrigger boasts 204 self-catering apartments, three outdoor-pools, a sun-deck and a grocery store. On-site parking is also available. Guests can prepare food in their own apartments or enjoy their lunch and evening meals at some of the nearby restaurants such as Round Table Pizza, CJ’s Deli Diner, China Bowl Asian Cuisine and The Cliff Dive Bar. Kanapali Beach, Black Rock Beach, Napili Beach, Banyan Tree Park and Kapalua Coastal Trail are all in close proximity to the resort. Lahania Harbor, Whalers Village Museum, Ironwood Ranch and Kahekili Beach are also close by.

The resort overlooks two golf courses which suited many guests who came here to practice their golfing skills. The beach is also a short walk away and guests said that they were pleased that they did not have to use their cars in order to get to the local amenities.
The apartments have been described as being roomy with plenty of furniture and storage space. Guests were pleased to find a wealth of modern amenities including washing machines, stoves and refrigerators which made it very easy and convenient for the guests to store and prepare their own food.
Many of the guests chose to spend their time relaxing on the sun deck whilst admiring the ocean views. Most of the apartments have their own balconies and patios and guests said that being able to sit outside with their morning coffee and early evening drinks was one of the highlights of their stay. Sun worshipers enjoyed relaxing on the comfortable poolside loungers surrounding the three outdoor-pools.
Some of the guests remarked that they did not find the overall cleanliness level of their apartments satisfactory as they noticed dust on the surfaces and also said that the floor looked like they have not been cleaned properly.
Guests whose apartments were located on the upper floors objected having to climb several flights of stairs on a daily basis as there is no lift on the premises. If you have any mobility issues it's advisable to let the staff know prior to booking.
Some of the apartments have been described as rather dated with guests objecting to broken cabinet doors and old-fashioned bathroom suites.
