Grocery shopping is convenient with a Woolworths supermarket being a few minutes’ walk away. Several bus lines are a few minutes’ walk away. The M31, Preston market and the High Street shops are within a ten-minute drive. Other local attractions include the Melbourne Zoo, Northland Shopping Centre and the CERES Environment Park.
The park grounds have been described as modern with clean facilities and plenty of recreational space for both adults and children including an outdoor pool and playground. The accommodations are basic and provide all the necessary amenities including laundry and kitchen facilities.
The staff have been described as friendly and available to answer questions and provide assistance. Staff also provide tourist information and advice, including a comprehensive map of how to get to public transport links and get around the city.
There are few eateries to choose from within walking distance of the grounds and the tram and train station are a long walk away. The closest tram stop can be reached in 20-minutes’ walk and Regent train station is a 25-minute walk away.
While plenty of water is available, the water pressure can be weak which you may find frustrating especially when washing your hair.
Comments have been made about the furnishings being outdated, and some guests have also found the mattresses to be hard and uncomfortable.
