The service personnel at the hotel are very well trained and considerate. A number of guests were especially pleased with the reception staff and found their warmth, calm demeanour and speed in handling complaints and requests extremely laudable.
The hotel is located close to restaurants and shops thus providing plenty of dining options nearby for those who choose to have their meals outside the hotel. Guests can also access the Victorian Doll Museum is just a few minutes' drive away.
The wireless internet connection is strong throughout the hotel. The speed is relatively quick and therefore can be suitable for moderate web browsing. The signal holds and does not drop even when moving from room to room with your device.
A number of guests complained about the poor sound insulation in the rooms. The corridors were prone to echoing and the noise from conversations and footsteps carried easily into the apartments. The walls of a few apartments are quite thin and it's very easy to hear what's going on next door.
Majority of guests were very unhappy with the effort put into the breakfast that was served every morning at the hotel. The hot and cold menus were not in plenty as there wasn't a wide variety of options to choose from.
Some guests were dissatisfied with the quality of mattresses and pillows provided pointing out that they were too hard and small. The air conditioning was seen as being ineffective, temperamental and of poor quality and worked in some rooms and not in others.
