Many guests commented that the room rate here was far lower than anything else they could find in the area. They believed that it was an incredibly cheap way to get a roof over one’s head and would suite those simply looking for a place to crash.
Guests really appreciated the fact that the hotel was just off I-41. They said that they preferred to stay here, rather than in downtown Front du Lac, since it was so convenient when arriving and departing by car.
The majority of guests felt that the staff were well trained, professional and tended to carry out their duties with a positive and friendly attitude.
An extraordinary number of guests mentioned that they were very unhappy with the sheets, and other bedding, used in their room. Many said that they were stained, threadbare, rough or typically all of the above. The pillows also came in for a lot of criticism, with many saying they were old and lumpy.
Guests felt that the rooms were looking very tired indeed. It had clearly been many, many years since the hotel was revamped, and guests believed it urgently needed one now in order to remain competitive.
It was very hard to find a good word written about the breakfast. Guests felt that, even for a continental breakfast, it was far too simple, with no variety of foods that could have generated some enthusiasm. It was simply a refueling exercise.
