Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham Houston is a three storied hotel with 55 rooms, located in Houston, Texas. Space Center Houston is just across the street from the hotel. Rooms are equipped with basic amenities like desks, coffee/ tea maker, TV, air conditioning and hair dryer. Bathroom has a bath tub, shower with free toiletries. Guests have access to long distance calls and local calls are free. 2- Queen bedrooms and suites have microwaves, mini-refrigerators and raised toilet seats with grab bars. The hotel offers free parking, fax and Wi-Fi. There is a separate parking for disabled individuals and access to wheelchair. Guests can use the outdoor pool, ice machine, ATM and self-serve laundry. Complimentary continental breakfast is served at the Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham Houston. There are plenty of restaurants close by. Kemah Broad walk, Galveston Beach and Bayou Wildlife Park are very close to the hotel.

Guests were happy with the location of the hotel as it was close to many tourist attractions like NASA and some metro stations too making travel very convenient. Many good restaurants close by were an added advantage; Moreno's BBQ Mom Alone Mexican Grill and South Shore.
The quality and variety of the breakfast buffet exceeded the expectations of guests. There were two Texas Waffle makers so making waffles was faster. Rest of the menu included eggs, toast, muffins, cereal, bagels and yogurt. Hotel staff was friendly and always ready to lend a helping hand in case of some issue.
Most of the guests felt that there is nothing very fancy about the hotel but it was kept neat and clean. Bed linen and towels were washed properly and did not have any smell. Services rendered in the hotel were worth the price paid for.
Many guests felt that the walls of the room were so thin that they could hear guests snoring and TV sounds from the next room making it difficult to sleep. Few guests also reported that the positioning of the TV made it hard for them to watch it, and there was no way to adjust color, brightness and tint.
The overall property of the hotel was not maintained well. Some of the guests had a bad experience with green molds growing in bathroom ceilings, rust on fixtures. Furniture in some rooms was also broken.
Many guests, especially the kids, could not enjoy the outdoor pool as it was not very clean. Guests would have been happier had the pool been maintained in a better way.
