The resort also has additional indoor and outdoor pools, and lazy river. Full or partial ocean views are offered by the suites at the resort. The accommodations are fully-equipped and feature a kitchen, private bathroom, seating area and private balcony. Facilities at the Monterey Bay Suites include free Wi-Fi, picnic areas, seasonal kids club, cardio center and a 24-hour front desk. On-site parking is inclusive with all stays. A deluxe complimentary hot breakfast can be enjoyed each morning at the resort. In addition, the accommodation also contains a seasonal restaurant and poolside snack bar. The Carolina Opry is a five-minute drive from the hotel. Broadway at the Beach can be reached in less than ten minutes by car.

Despite being relatively far from the downtown area of Myrtle Beach, the large majority of previous guests were pleased with the location of the Monterey Bay Suites. The location is regarded as nice and quiet, while the resort's position on the beach is a definite bonus.
Former visitors to the resort were mostly pleased with the suites on offer. Along with being apparently roomy and well-appointed, the suites typically offer wonderful views of the ocean.
With a rooftop swimming pool, indoor pool, outdoor pool, lazy river and hot tubs, there is a varied amount of water-based activities available on-site at the Monterey Bay Suites. Furthermore, these facilities have been enjoyed by many past guests and are supposedly kept in great condition.
The Monterey Bay Suites, according to the opinion of some former visitors, is not in the best condition overall. This belief was reportedly exemplified by the suites, which were described as dated in places and showing signs of general wear and tear.
Although the resort is appreciated for providing free parking in the first place, this particular aspect has caused problems in the past. The covered parking lot itself is considered very tight and difficult to maneuver.
Whilst few major hygiene-related issues have been reported about the Monterey Bay Suites, the overall cleanliness of the suites was considered below standard by some past visitors. In particular, it has been said that the private bathrooms were overlooked on occasion when it came to general cleanliness.
