Guests call this a stunning and historic hotel. They say it has a wonderful old-time feel to it. It is in the historical district and right in the heart of the beautiful city of Guadalajara with restaurants a short drive away.
Guests say that the customer service at the hotel is excellent and staff members make their stay an unforgettable experience. Guests say the wonderful lobby is lovely to sit and simply unwind. They find the food at the restaurant of the hotel delicious and appreciate the free Wi-Fi and laundry facilities.
The rooms are large and well maintained say guests, who love the layout with its sitting area between the bathroom and bed area and a balcony. They say that the hotel’s courtyard is amazing with colonial era architecture showing throughout. The rooftop pool and terrace provided a sanctuary for guests where they felt very relaxed. They appreciated the gym facilities for working out.
Guests say that the lighting is rather dim in the sleeping area and they find it difficult to read in bed. The hangers provided in the closet for clothes are few and inadequate. Guests also say that a TV channel guide provided in the rooms would be helpful.
Air conditioning units in the rooms broke down and guests say they were moved to different rooms, but all with the same problem. Finally they were offered a ten percent discount which guests say was not compensation for sleeping the entire night with kids in a hot room without even a fan.
The bathrooms lacked proper plumbing venting and guests say that it smelt of sewer gas. The lighting is poor in the bathrooms and the shower drains are slow.
