Positive Reviews
positive:
Well situated.
Guests were enthusiastic about the location of this hotel, just a mile from the French Quarter, and within walking distance to the WWII Museum down the street. A big bonus was that the St. Charles Streetcar stopped right in front of the hotel, taking guests to most major attractions. The Quality Inn & Suites New Orleans also provided a quiet location removed from the hustle and bustle, but still close to points of interest.
positive:
Something different.
Guests found this hotel to be charmingly laid out, with a series of buildings connected by courtyards. With unique details like the coach house lobby, brick walkways, and courtyard fountains, this hotel has a lot of character that adds a certain Southern charm.
positive:
Great customer service.
Sometimes all it takes is a friendly smile to make you feel at home, and this was the case for many guests staying at this hotel. Not only were staff welcoming, they were also accommodating of special requests and any issues that arose.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Surprise parking fee.
Guests wanting to leave their car in the secured parking across the street, were faced with a steep charge to do so. Several guests wished they had known about the extra money it would take to park their vehicles, and felt that the hotel needed to do a better job of telling potential visitors.
negative:
Stingy on the towels.
On multiple occasions, guests found themselves with not enough towels to go around. Two towels for three people didn't cut it, and there were sometimes lengthy delays in tracking down enough towels to be comfortable.
negative:
Fussy elevator.
An elevator that wasn't always working was a bit of a pain for some guests. The older elevator in a historic building also made some less than subtle noises that really didn't sit well with a few guests.
