The staff at Salgados Grande are always professional while maintaining a friendly and outgoing demeanour with guests. Upon arrival, guests are checked in quickly and efficiently, questions are asked to gain a better understanding of their needs and issues are sorted out right away.
Guests reported that the rooms are tastefully-decorated, spacious and luxurious. Also reported was comfortable beds and furnishings, amazing views, large walk-in showers with lots of water pressure and air conditioning.
The hotel itself is full of large, modern and stylish public spaces and is surrounded by well-manicured grounds. The pool is large and relaxing with a nice water temperature and plenty of sun beds. Guests also reported that the area surrounding the hotel is beautiful, a beach is located within walking distance and there are many things to see and do.
Guests reported that the meals served at Salgados Grande are of poor-quality with soggy, overcooked items that don't seem fresh, undercooked items and hot items that are served cold.
The staff at this hotel don't go out of their way to help guests and when help is requested, they don't seem to know what to do. Many staff members seem young and inexperienced with no clue how to deal with guests. Also reported was staff who seem generally disinterested in accommodating guests, arrogant staff who talk down to guests and slow service at check-in.
The pool area isn't supervised and this means there are children running around screaming and jumping in the pool. It also means that some guests get up early to claim sun beds before everyone else and much of the time the beds are left unattended with personal items set out on them.
