Hotel Novotel Suites Perpignan Centre (Perpignan, France)

Guests love that the hotel is only a 6 or 7-minute walk to city centre. It's a 10-minute drive to the airport, and the train stations, both regular SNCF and TGV, are also within a reasonable walking distance, with frequent trips up and down the coast from Perpignan.

The guest rooms are generally described as spacious and airy, with a nice bathtub as well as a walk-in shower and separate toilet in the large bathrooms. Most enjoy a quiet night in a comfortable bed, and appreciate the full blackout curtains.

Guests often describe the staff as very friendly and efficient. The buffet breakfast is tasty, varied, and a particularly good value when included in the room rate. Though there is no restaurant on site, the hotel displays lots of menus for take away restaurants and hospitably invites guests to bring their lunch or dinner into the breakfast area of the lobby.

Though parking on site is reasonably priced, guests with heavy suitcases and/or young children are irritated by the garage's poor design, noting there is no direct access to the hotel and it is necessary to walk down the steep car ramp.

Guests on higher floors have reported a particularly poor Wi-Fi signal, and those who wish to use the tubs in the large, otherwise excellent bathrooms may find themselves in a for long wait for the tub to fill.

Travellers often comment that the rooms remind them of an IKEA catalogue, and some find the furnishings and decor a little too cool and stark. The lobby seems to be a little low on atmosphere, too.
