The location of this hotel has been a consistent highlight for previous guests. You’ll find shopping and dining on your doorstep thanks to the Bourke Street Mall and Chinatown. Plus, the MCG is within easy reach as are many Melbourne attractions. There’s a little outside noise thanks to the central setting but few guests have found it excessive.
Guests have been impressed by the staff here, describing the welcome as warm and the ongoing standard of service as friendly and attentive. The staff seems to genuinely want guests to have a great time and is happy to offer tips and suggestions for what to see and do during your stay.
Value for money appears to be part of the deal here. Guests have found the rates reasonable and have appreciated the host of freebies - breakfast, coffee, minibar items, and unlimited Wi-Fi is all on the house. Guests have also enjoyed the savings -- and the drinks -- at the daily happy hour.
There’s plenty of positive feedback about the rooms here but a fair amount of reviews also suggest that maintenance of the accommodation could be better. Issues are minor and caused by wear and tear mostly but are noticeable nonetheless.
Guests have found the en-suite bathrooms here are on the small side - so small in some cases that they are uncomfortable to use. Guests describe small sinks and oddly placed mirrors that force you to turn your head sideways to see into them.
The lack of on-site parking has been a bugbear for some previous guests. There is public parking available nearby but this does come at an extra cost and you may have to haul luggage to and from your car.
