Hotel Palazzo Paruta is a wonderfully restored 17th Century Venetian palazzo, which now offers a  romantic and exclusive 4-star stay around five minutes’ walk from St. Mark’s Square. This former noble residence has a lushly vegetated internal courtyard, a peaceful terrace, is across the canal from Campo Sant’ Angelo and several minutes from La Fenice Theatre. The non-smoking rooms are classically furnished in brocade fabrics, have Carreca marble-tiled bathrooms, and a minimum of hairdryer, satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, individual climate control, minibar, laptop safe and telephone. Reception staff are happy to offer tourist information, and the hotel also offers apartments nearby. Guests are served a complimentary afternoon teas every afternoon in the Sala Paruta, while breakfasts include fresh seasonal food and cooked-to-order options.
