Guests who ate at Tides Restaurant were really impressed by the food and commented that it was some of the best restaurant food that they had tasted. The breakfast menu was specifically singled out by some who loved the fresh fruit and quality selection each morning.
The hotel is high on a hill away from the hustle and bustle of the Airlie Beach strip and enjoys scenic panoramic views out across the harbour and many guests said that this was by far the best part of their stay as they loved the tranquillity.
The infinitely pool which overlooks the water and the Airlie Beach harbour from its vantage point was the highlight for many guests who enjoyed swimming and relaxing each day. Families with children also mentioned how much their kids loved the pool.
Guests who were staying more than a few days at the hotel were a little disappointed in the turnover of their rooms with some expecting that the daily cleaning service may have been more frequant and detailed.
Guests have warned future guests that the hotel is on a very steep hill which is easy to access but if you have any kind of mobility issue and lack of mountain goat skills will be very difficult for you to navigate. Guests also mentioned that you will need a car to get around as the shops are a bit of distance from the property.
A number of guests had a similar complaint about the beds at the hotel which were according to some very hard and as a result very uncomfortable. These guests did not leave positive reviews about their experience citing bad backs and a lack of sleep.
