The high volcanic plateu knows as *Cappadocia* has been home of Various civilizations;chronologically Hittites,Persians, The Kingdom of Cappadocia,Romans,Seljuks and the Ottomans.For thousands of years People lived here and built their cave houses underground cities for the purpose of shelter and protection In 1530 the population of Uçhisar,which were under the rule of Ottomans as a Principality Starboard was counted as a .... When Yavuz Sultan Selim,the Sultan of that period went on a war to the east he gathered many soldiers from Uçhisar and Aksaray. These soldiers were not discharged from military service but were appointed in the Imperial Palace becasue of their success in the war.They mostly inhabited in Aksaray district in Istanbul. In the period of the grand vizier Damat İbrahim Paşa, who was from Nevşehir, much more people from Nevşehir region were employed in the Palace. The former owner these mansion ‘Mustafa Efendi’ was also worked in the Palace as a cook. After his retirement at the end of 1800s, he had two greek masters to build his house. Çarhacı Mustafa Efendi Konağı within our hotel is one of the two surviving mansions built by those to greek masters.
