The hotel is situated in the center of town meaning that guests could walk to many of the landmarks and tourist attractions. Guests appreciated being close to all the amenities including shops and restaurants and were pleased about being able to leave their cars in the parking lot and not having to worry about getting public transport or taxis.

Guests appreciated the complimentary offerings of wine and cheese in the evenings in the hotel's lobby which they said was a good opportunity to relax and socialize with others. Many also enjoyed the live bands who played at the on-site restaurant at the weekend which they said added to the overall lively and laid-back atmosphere at the hotel.

Dating back to the 1930's, the hotel still retains many of its original period features which have left a lasting impression on many. Guests were impressed with the elegant lobby decorated in the Art Deco style as well as the numerous paintings and pieces of antique furniture.
