A number of guests report that mosquitos are a big pest at Picard Beach. The accommodation does include mosquito nets for use during the night, but these are not always effective so guests need to stock up on mosquito repellent before they arrive.

The local restaurant affiliated with Picard Beach is called Le Flambeau, and the truth is it has been subject to mixed reviews at best. Some guests have complained about their food taking too long to cook, or being undercooked, or even not being available despite being on the menu.
