Hotel Plaza e de Russie

In its privileged position overlooking the sea, across from historic theatres and cafés and the elegant Liberty-style buildings of the promenade, Hotel Plaza e de Russie is the oldest in Viareggio. Erected in 1871, it tooks the name “De Russie” in memory of the Russian nobility that frequented the beaches of Versilia and lived the glories of aristocracy of the turn of the century. The hotel was completely renovated in 1994 to once again become the point of reference in Viareggio for sophisticated Italian and international clientele, whether travelling for business or pleasure. The building conserves its original elegance, exalted by exquisite marble, Murano light fixtures, and precious fabrics. The hotel's 50 rooms all have hardwood floors and cherry wood furniture, modern equipment and the bathrooms are decorated in travertine tiling.
