Swim laps during the winter
With three outdoor pools which are open year-round, water slides, and a hot tub, the resort is a great place for the water baby in all of us. As an added bonus, with coastal Texas' mild weather year round, you can take a dip in the hot tub or swim a backstroke even in January.

Dine at the resort or in your room
With a full restaurant open from breakfast through dinner, an a la carte bar and grill, and a snack bar at the pool, you'll have plenty of supper options. Or, if you want to save some cash, you can pick up groceries and cook in your condo.
positive:
Tons of activities
The Port Royal Ocean Resort & Conference Center is a self-contained wonderland. With tennis courts, basketball, beach volleyball, 3 pools, waterslides, a restaurant, a pool-side bar, and a close proximity to the beach and central Port Aransas, you'll never run out of fun.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Could use an update
Despite the prime coastal location, some former visitors to the resort had a few concerns regarding its furniture and design. Worn out beds, dingy or stained carpets, older décor, and musty corridors were a few of their issues with their accommodations.
negative:
Restaurant can be pricey
There are several places to grab a bite at the resort, including Restaurant 361 and the Cabana Bar and Grill. However, some guests mentioned that eating in can add up quickly. Fortunately, each condo comes with its own kitchen, so you can keep your wallet happy by cooking your own meals.
negative:
Can be noisy
One of the perks to staying on the coast is being able to hear the ocean's soothing sounds from your room. On the other hand, you won't be as happy hearing noisy guests through the walls and windows due to the poor soundproofing. Light sleepers should bring ear plugs.
