Up to date TV and HD, free Wi-Fi with good speeds, comfortable beds and sofa beds are some of the plus points of the hotel according to guests. Beds and bed linen appeared to be recently replaced in the guest rooms. The complimentary breakfast offered by the hotel is basic but good and plentiful say several of the guests.

The hotel staff is described as friendly, helpful and professional. The front desk staff received positive mentions and the housekeeping and general upkeep receives overall positive feedback. The hotel is pet friendly as well.

Some guests felt that the hotel, its upkeep and the service left a lot to be desired. Some also felt that the hotel was dirty, that the cleaning was not up to the mark and that the hotel is OK only for short stays.

La Quinta Inn Milwaukee Northwest is supposed to be non-smoking, but the people at the hotel claim to be unable to control what guests do inside the rooms, so some of the rooms do smell of cigarette smoke. The smell of cigarettes in the rooms has put of some guests while one or two actually found ash and a cigarette butt in their room.

Some guests felt that the room fittings appeared old and the carpets in the hallway were soiled. A few guests thought that the property appeared to be tired and old and that it needed some updating and refurbishment.
