Several guests commented on the strength of air-conditioning, which was essential for many during the hot summer months. A quiet air-conditioning unit is also something to be coveted, and this hotel had that going for it, too.
The complimentary breakfast was a convenient option for guests passing through. Guests looking to get on the road quickly had their needs met, with the added bonus that everything was hot, fresh and plentiful.
Two positives that guests pointed out several times were the great strength of Wi-Fi and the comfortable sleep, thanks to high quality bedding. Towels were also in good condition, and guests could tell that management was trying hard to make up for other shortcomings.
Stains on carpets, dirty walls and run down furniture made guests want to leave as soon as possible in many cases. The overall condition of the property had guests wondering if they had made the right decision to stay at the hotel, and unfortunately, guests often concluded that they had made a mistake.
Smoke and other funky smells were high on the list of reasons why guests wouldn't return. Non-smoking rooms often had a strong scent of lingering smoke, and guests weren't impressed that they felt the need to plug their noses.
