Hotel Quality Inn & Suites Medical Park (Durham, USA)

The Wi-Fi is actually quite good at the facility. It's dependable and this is surprising as hotels are usually the worse for good Wi-Fi. The breakfast is decent with eggs and sausage and additional goodies.

You will most likely find the location quite convenient, especially if you are visiting the VA Medical Center or the university. There is a restaurant next door and plenty of other restaurants nearby. The I85 is close as well.

Parking is plenty, so you don't have to be concerned about frantically running around trying to find a parking space or lugging your luggage down the street.

You may find yourself in a decrepit room with moldy and unidentifiable smells, mold in the bathtub, corridors and stairs worn down with cigarette smells, stained carpeting, hair on the bathroom floor and in the bathtub, and questionable people who appear to be living at the hotel. The hotel walls are thin as well.

Be careful about housekeeping as they don't speak English, which makes it tricky to get your requests understood. For example, if you hang a “do not disturb” sign on your door you may find someone putting the key in your door anyway. Speaking your wishes won't help as they can't understand you! There seems to be a knack for people, perhaps housekeeping, opening the doors of visitors, so make sure you keep the chain on your door.

The parking lot lights are intensive. Don't be surprised if the beam shoots right into your room, even with the curtains closed!
