The complimentary breakfast is a popular freebie. Waffles, boiled eggs, biscuits and gravy and sausages as well as a selection of cereals, fruit and beverages all helped make a tasty and satisfying breakfast enjoyed by plenty of guests.
In general, guests felt that Quality Inn University Gainesville offered good value for money and provided a level of accommodation and service that was in line with the room rates charged.
According to feedback, there are signs that the hotel would benefit from some redecoration and renovation in parts. The outside of the hotel is described as old and some of the rooms have a musty smell. However, it seems that some rooms have been redecorated in the last couple of years so hopefully the rest of the hotel will be upgraded in due course.
At times, the public areas and rooms at Quality Inn University Gainesville don't perhaps look and smell as clean as they could be. One issue is that this is a hotel that allows smoking in certain rooms, so it's not surprising that some guests could smell cigarette smoke.
Some guests didn't find the pool area particularly inviting and felt that it could do with a little bit of a facelift. Also, the fact that it was outdoors left one guest wishing that there was an indoor pool which would be more suitable for children when the weather was a bit chillier.
