Guests were very pleased with the high levels of hospitality at the hotel. The staff is very knowledgeable and always happy to give advice and tips. Guests said they always gave honest recommendations and plenty of local insight.
With over 450 Austrian wines, the hotel bar is definitely worth visiting. In addition, the bar staff is reported to be very knowledgeable about wine and will happily guide you through. Guests also say that the Viennese breakfast buffet is worth waking up for.
The rooms are air conditioned but guests say it doesn't work all that well, and there is no way to control room temperature another way. Despite the A/C, some rooms tend to remain quite warm and never really cool properly. Unfortunately, a few guests staying during that the winter season, when the hotel turns off it's A/C, reported running into warmer-than-average days and were a bit irritated to not be able to run the A/C.
Keep in mind that there is no lift from the ground floor to the lobby, but there is a lift to other floors. You can always ask the staff for assistance or just be prepared to carry your luggage up one flight.
Many guests disliked the blinds in the rooms, which made the room too dark when they were closed, but gave the room no privacy when they were open. Reportedly, the “lack of privacy” is mainly an issue in the rooms facing the courtyard, as guests said you can easily see into other rooms from your own.
