The staff at this hotel are friendly and professional, and always have a smiling face as they greet you. Guests report that staff are very quick to respond when issues arise, and do their absolute best to accommodate your needs.
This hotel is close to nice restaurants and shops. There's also a Denny's and McDonalds next door, and Target is just down the street. An IHOP is within walking distance. This hotel is close to the airport, and has easy freeway access making travel to downtown Grand Rapids a breeze.

Guests find the lack of basic amenities quite disappointing. They say there are no hairdryers, ironing facilities, or coffee maker in standard rooms. You have to upgrade to a superior king room in order to get these amenities. Plus, with cold Michigan winters, an extra blanket comes in handy, but this is not included in a standard room either.
Rooms smell of stale smoke, even though they are supposed to be non-smoking. Guests can smoke right outside the rooms, evidenced by cigarette bins outside the doors. It seems that smoke smell is then sucked into the rooms, making everything smell of smoke, including towels and linens.
Guests say the Wi-Fi signal is nearly nonexistent. Service is annoyingly slow and disconnects frequently. If you rely heavily on Wi-Fi, this can be a serious issue.
