Relais Osteria dell’Orcia is a finely restored 16th century horse and carriage Inn, located along the Via Francigena, at Bagno Vignoni, where, in centuries past, pilgrims from Northern Europe traveling to Rome regularly sought rest and refreshment, and wellness In the late 19th century, following the collapse of the Peruzzi Bridge, the Inn, then a converted farmhouse, was vacated and left to fall into decline. In the late 1990s, Osteriadell'Orcia became the subject of an extensive and intensive restoration project, which successfully reinstated the building’s original charm and, at the same time, allowed for the careful integration of the latest in modern comforts.
