Guests rave about the hotel's location; it's just two blocks from the Alamo, and the Riverwalk is a ten-minute walk, tops. The Tower of the Americas, HemisFair Park, and the Convention Center are also just a few minutes away on foot.
The front desk and valet staff receive rave reviews for their friendly, helpful, and professional customer service. Several guests were impressed to find the general manager working the Texas waffle machines and wiping down tables during the popular breakfast buffet, while others note that they greeted warmly by every staff member they meet during their stay.
Guests generally describe the rooms to be spotlessly clean and spacious, with comfortable furnishings and nicely equipped kitchens. Tired travelers particularly appreciate the plush beds with crisp sheets, and everyone loves the free Wi-Fi.
The hotel currently offers valet and self parking at the same rate. Guests widely describe the fee as a bit high, though not too out of line for downtown San Antonio, and some have had difficulty finding a space. However, many note they are able to leave their cars parked for the duration of their stay due to the hotel's ideal location.
