Guests loved Rey’s location for its walking-distance convenience to shopping, restaurants, and bars, as well as the harbour, tour departures, Hallgrimskirkja church and the old town.
The apartments were found to be stylish in modern Nordic fashion, clean with daily servicing, and sported comfortable beds. Some had lovely terraces, and all were equipped with great kitchen facilities, which were handy for cooking at home with a supermarket found nearby.
You will find the staff service here to be highly commendable, as did previous guests, who found the staff members to be very friendly and helpful wherever the opportunity arose.
Those who stayed at Rey occasionally found the parking a little difficult since the aparthotel only has a few dedicated spaces, after which you will have to try for public spots. Likewise, a few guests had difficulty with the lack of lift, which meant carrying luggage up a fair array of stairs.
Guests in street-facing apartments occasionally reported some noise from revellers in the night and especially in the weekend. Even though others had no such problems, bring your earplugs just in case if you are a light sleeper.
