Old Town Temecula is a taste of the old west in Southern California and guests said the hotel's location right in the midst of the bars, cafes, shops and historic buildings suited them just fine. In fact for most guests, the location was the best thing about Rodeway Inn.
Guests looking for inexpensive lodgings while visiting the Temecula Wine Country or Old Town Temecula found just what they were looking for at this hotel. They said the beds were comfortable, the rooms clean and the refrigerators a convenient touch. Throw in the complimentary breakfast and most guests agree, it's a pretty good deal.
Summer temperatures can be scorching in and around Temecula and guests at the Rodeway Inn said a dip in the outdoor pool was the perfect way to cool off. In cooler weather, guests also enjoyed the hot tub.
Some guests thought the Rodeway Inn looked a bit faded and forlorn while others said it is overdue for a bit of paint and polish.
While most guests had no complaints about the cleanliness of the accommodations at Rodeway Inn, some noted dirty floors, sticky carpets, unswept floors, stained bed linens and mold in the showers. Odor from cigarette smoke was also reported.
The welcome they received at the front desk wasn't exactly friendly according to a few guests who described some staff members as rude, indifferent and not inclined to help.
