Hotel Royal Manotel (Geneva, Switzerland)

The Royal Manotel Hotel is located close to the train station in Geneva. Other modes of transportation like trams and buses stop right in front of the hotel making it handy for guests to explore the city. Many attractions like The Geneva Lake and Old Town take only a short stroll to reach from the hotel.

The 202 air-conditioned rooms at the hotel have an elegance and style to them with period furniture and plush furnishings adding to the attraction. Rooms have flat screen television that can be interactive for video, pay per channel and radio. A minibar, desk and safe are present. A welcome tray with coffee and tea is extended to guests on arrival. Bathrooms are stylish with hair dryer and bathrobes provided.

The hotel features a fitness centre and sauna for guests to work out and then relax in the sauna with Turkish bath. The guests are provided with a card which gets them free travel in the buses and trams to explore the city. The restaurant serves a buffet breakfast and an innovative menu for lunch and dinner. The lounge bar is also open till noon. The bistro is a casual place to relax and enjoy seasonal preparations. Wi-Fi is free and can be accessed all through the hotel.

The facilities in the rooms are limited. Suites have only a single air conditioner which does not provide sufficient cooling. Even basic amenities like iron and ironing board are not provided.

The breakfast is not inclusive and expensive. Room service is charged as well and rates are high. Parking is also not included and charged a high fee.

The staff is not cordial and cooperative. Nothing is done about complaints and housekeeping is dismally tardy with towels not changed and amenities used up not refilled.
