The 4-star Hotel Rubinstein is a historic and tastefully-renovated townhouse in Krakow’s former Jewish quarter — and now trendy hotspot — of Kazimierz. Aside from the dining, cafes and Jewish history minutes away, the 15 Century premises sports a rooftop terrace and is a 15-minute walk from the main market square and Wawel Castle. All rooms are richly furnished and come with a minimum standard of an en-suite shower bathroom with organic cosmetics and hairdryer, individually-controlled air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, minibar, daily papers and phone. Suites and apartments feature original townhouse fittings. The cellars of Hotel Rubinstein are bookable for events and conferences, and paid sauna, massage and spa services are available, as well as private parking and transfers. Rubenstein Restaurant serves Polish, Western and Jewish cuisine in a glazed patio, klezmer bands play in the evenings and there is a lobby bar. Krakow Glowny station is two kilometres away.

Rubinstein Residence guests found their Kazimierz location to be central — with lots of good restaurants and Jewish history nearby and the old town, castle and central station also easily accessible — but also away from the tourist crowds.
The buffet breakfasts were found to be great, with a huge amount of choice of hot and cold items to keep guests full for an entire day’s exploring, and a decent restaurant on site if you are somehow hungry when you get home.
You will find the staff to be particularly helpful in organising tours and providing tourist advice, and those who stayed found the service to be friendly and excellent overall.
While these were not huge issues for guests, a few of those who stayed at Rubinstein Residence thought the modern bathrooms were a bit small, a handful of others had Wi-Fi issues, and a few more thought the air conditioning could have been stronger during summer heatwaves.
