Not only did a number of reviewers rave about the excellent location close to St Kilda beach, a number of reviews commented on how easy it was to move about the city from the free car parking and access to link roads around Melbourne.
The size and the superior comfort of beds rated highly across several reviews with a number of people remarking that they got a great nights sleep at the hotel as the beds were some of the most comfortable they have ever stayed in .
Some reviewers mentioned how satisfied guests were about the level of service they received at the hotel, with many guests saying that check-in was a breeze and their requests for help were handled swiftly by hotel staff.
Some reviewers left this property feeling very disappointed by the rooms as they felt that they were tiny and were too small to be comfortable. Some guests also thought that due to the small surroundings the sound-proofing was less than ideal and as a result guests had a disrupted nights sleep.
Some guests felt that the water pressure in the showers was particularly bad given the Rydges hotel chain's reputation. Reviewers commented that they had not had similar problems at other Rydge's properties and felt like this one was slipping a bit.
