Hotel Sakura Terrace The Gallery (Kyoto, Japan)

Guests enjoyed the modern rooms which boast many amenities. The beds have been described as comfortable and the rooms are very clean. Guests feel the rooms are spacious for Japanese standards. As the hotel is still fairly new all the rooms are in good condition.

The hotel is close to Kyoto station, making it easy to explore the greater Kyoto area or hop on a bus to explore Kyoto. There are restaurants and convenience stores in the quiet neighbourhood. A shopping centre is only a short walk away. Guests liked the convenience of the location.

Many guests described the staff as extremely helpful when it came to help them with directions in Kyoto or booking tours. They are very polite and professional. From the front desk to the restaurant, guests received excellent customer service. English is spoken well, so there are no communication problems.

Guests found it a little weird that many of the public spaces including the lobby were actually open to the outdoors. While this might be great in the summer, in the wintertime it is quite cold and drafty and you might not get much use out of the additional space.

Guests who booked the breakfast felt it was overpriced for what it offered. There are not many Japanese dishes on the buffet which some guests wanted to try while being on vacation.

Some guests had great Wi-Fi reception while others were fighting to keep a connection going or had nearly no reception in their rooms. Do not expect to be streaming movies as the overall speed is not the best.
