Close to the airport, this chic, unfussy hotel offers seclusion and serenity on one of the prettiest spots on the beach. Just a short tuk tuk ride from Negombo, guests who feel compelled to visit town can easily do so, while the airport is only a 20-minute drive away. Spending a whole day lounging by the pool is a distinct possibility at Seashells Hotel, and surrounded by such natural beauty and in such a peaceful location, there can be little motivation to do much else. Seashell’s restaurant serves a generous selection of Western and Asian food, while a smattering of restaurants and bars can be found within a 10-minute walk down the road. And while Seashells may technically sport only two stars, a glass of wine taken in the gardens at sunset is surely a five-star experience.
