Hotel Simbad (Talamanca, Spain)

Spot on rooms with not a spot of grime in them! They are cleaned thoroughly and daily – and it shows! If you are lucky enough to have one with a sea view balcony, wow, what a bonus that is!

The buzzing Ibiza town is only a couple of miles away if that’s what you want – but it’s far enough away not to be a pain. A short stroll to the Marina + you can even get the ferry there. This hotel, though, is on the beach and that is more than enough for most holidaymakers.

Breakfast buffet choices are excellent plus there’s plenty of variety and quality in evidence at other meals. If you fancy a change occasionally, there are plenty of restaurants to investigate along the beach.

As seems usual and acceptable these days, ‘doubles’ are 2 ‘singles’ shoved together and guaranteed to cause maximum discomfort.

Hotels seem to exist on the extras they charge for. However, having to pay to use the safe in your room is a step too far.

What could be better than sitting outside on the terrace in the morning sunshine and enjoying a leisurely breakfast? Not as perfect as it sounds because they still allow smoking, so the area is submerged in a smog + food is bound to be contaminated.
