Most guests who stayed here, mentioned the hotel’s close location to the ODU campus was a key to booking. It is also close to the Naval base and other business-oriented sites. For the most part, it close location to the university is very convenient.
Most guests agreed the hotel’s staff members were friendly and courteous to them. They were not intrusive and greeted their guests. They were proud of their jobs and it reflected in their positive attitudes.
Most guests liked the on-site restaurant/bar that offers casual dining and drinking options. They enjoyed having an outdoor patio and plenty of TVs to watch the game. It was a good way to unwind and be near the room.
Most guests were not impressed that the hotel was not renovated or looked new. In fact, it was obviously an older hotel that could use some renovations. There were guests who felt there could be improvements made to the rooms and the little details were noticed. Some had a faulty air conditioning, cracked tiles or a poor TV.
Guests felt the rooms were a bit noisy for their liking. Whether it was the air conditioning, the toilet and/or the people in other rooms, these guests could not sleep well.
Many guests were annoyed they had to pay for parking and that it was not free. Most hotels offer this for free and guests were surprised to find out this was not the case here.
