The large and well-kept rooms were highly satisfying according to the guests. The rooms, which were perfect for long-term vacations, were well equipped with mini-fridge, couches, coffee tables and chairs, wardrobe area, and luggage area.
Guests appreciated the large parking space provided on-site. The free parking in front of the hotel was more than adequate for the needs and total number of guests so they did not have any difficulty finding a parking slot.
Due to its close proximity to the tram line, guests are able to travel the area conveniently. There are also plenty of restaurants within the area such as KFC and Subway. Moreover, the Preston Market, shopping centres, and Thornbury High Street are within close proximity as well.
Aside from traffic noise, guests also had problems sleeping due to the loud noise from neighbouring rooms. They could hear various noises such as loud television sounds, loud talking, and some loud music especially during wee hours.
The poor quality of the mattresses and pillows were an issue to most guests. The beds were quite old and the texture was softer than the usual. Some guests even had back problems due to the uncomfortable quality of the beds and pillows.
As a result of the lack of lift on-site, guests had difficulty climbing the stairs especially while carrying heavy luggage. Some guests who were carrying heavy suitcases weighing more than 50 pounds were also challenged by the steps. Therefore, you are advised to request for rooms at the ground floor area.
